Pacific Standard Specialties manufactures a line of slowly-soluble polyphosphate products.
As their name (Slow Phos) implies, these products dissolve at a controlled concentration
to prevent scale formation and corrosion. |

SLOW PHOS is a slowly-soluble polyphosphate available in small, glassy beads for
potable water treatment applications. SLOW PHOS can be fed at different concentrations
in order to fit particular treatment situations or requirements.
Typically, a concentration of SLOW PHOS at threshhold levels of 0.5-5.0ppm polyphosphate
will inhibit scale and corrosion.
Dissolution rate: 90-180 days. |

ANSI/NSF Standard 42 Drinking Water Treatment Units-Aesthetic Effects,
and ANSI/NSF Standard 60 Drinking Water Treatment
Chemicals-Health Effects, for use in potable water systems at concentrations up to
10ppm.
